Fife Zoo is committed to providing accurate and up-to-date information on this page. However, the content is for general informational purposes only.

Admission Tickets

Entry to Fife Zoo is subject to these Terms & Conditions, and by purchasing a ticket(s) or entering the Zoo (including approach drives and car parks) Patrons shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms & Conditions.​

  1. Entry to Fife Zoo is by ticket only, which can be purchased online in advance or at the door. Children aged 16 & under must be accompanied by a full-paying adult at all times.

  2. Tickets/bookings for a fixed date must be used on the date indicated, unless otherwise agreed by Fife Zoo.

  3. No refund will be given for tickets which have not been used.

  4. Partially used bookings cannot be moved or the unused tickets refunded.

  5. All bookings, (whether by/for: individuals, families, private or corporate groups) are made, subject to availability.

  6. In the event that your preferred date is unavailable, or the Zoo has to be closed for operational reasons (including, but not limited to: extreme weather)  Fife Zoo will make all reasonable endeavours to provide you with an acceptable alternative booking date.

  7. Where visitors require carers, one free carer is admitted per paying adult/child with proof of entitlement. Proof must be shown upon entry and can be in the form of a Blue Badge, disability entitlement letter or similar. Any additional carers must pay full admission.

Zoo Entry Regulations

All smoking (including but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, herbal cigarettes and e-cigarettes/vapes is strictly prohibited within the Zoo premises.

Dogs are not permitted into the Zoo. Persons requiring an assistance dog must contact the zoo prior to their visit. Dogs are permitted into the Coffee Shop.

Fife Zoo reserves the right at our discretion to refuse entry to the Zoo, prohibit from any future entry to the Zoo or escort from the Zoo premises, any person who whilst on the Zoo premises:

  1. Uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner, which may provoke a breach of the peace or disrupt any of our animals.

  2. Takes into the Zoo or is found to have on their possession offensive weapons or dangerous articles.

  3. Fails to follow the written or verbal health and safety instructions of each area or attraction at the Zoo or behaves in a manner which may endanger the safety of that person, other visitors or animals at the Zoo

  4. Feeds, or attempts to feed, any of the animals, save for where such feeding is part of an organised event or experience for which that person has been validly admitted to the Zoo.

  5. Behaves in a manner, which in our opinion is, or is likely to, affect the enjoyment of other visitors.

  6. Climbs on, stands upon, or crosses fences, barriers, walls, structures or buildings on Zoo premises.

  7. Takes into the Zoo or is found to have on their possession offensive weapons, dangerous articles or illegal substances.

Animal Encounters (Animal Experiences)

  1. All visitors enter into our enclosures at their own risk.

  2. Any participant over the age of 8years old and under the age of 16years old must be accompanied by a participating adult.

  3. All allergies must be brought to our attention during your health and safety induction so we can make sure you are safe.

  4. Animal experiences purchased online (including vouchers) must be pre-booked and redeemed within 12 months of the date of purchase. They may only run on selected days.

  5. For safety reasons, minimum ages apply to our animal experiences.

  6. No physical contact is permitted during certain animal experiences (zebras).

  7. Animal experiences must be pre-booked as there is a limited number of spaces available. You can pre-book by calling 01337 258214 between 10am and 4pm. You will receive a booking confirmation by email. Please bring this with you on the day along with your animal experience voucher.

  8. Sensible footwear should be worn as our enclosures may be slippery and some paths are “off-road”. Older clothes you don’t mind getting dirt on would be advisable.

  9. Our animals live outside, so dress for the weather.

  10. We’re afraid we cannot guarantee the animals will want to hand-feed.

  11. We reserve the right to cancel or move an animal experience for operational reasons. An alternative date or time will be offered.

  12. We ask for 48 hours’ notice if you can no longer take part in an experience you have pre-booked. You will need to call the booking office again to re-book before your booking/voucher expires.

  13. We reserve the right to cancel the encounter at any point if a health and safety issue arises, such as inappropriate behaviour causing a potential risk to people or our animals. This is non-refundable.

  14. We ask that you bring the voucher with you at the time of your encounter. Failure to do so may result in the encounter being cancelled or rescheduled.

  15. This purchase is non-refundable.
