A half mile toddle around the zoo, taking in the sights and sounds of the animal enclosures while raising money for Barardo's.

Each child entering receives a sponsor form, activity pack, juice and biscuits, plus you're welcome to spend the rest of the day around the zoo. Adults go free for this event.

Looking for a birthday party with a wild twist?

Celebrate at Fife Zoo with our animal-themed party room, zoo admission included for party guests, a tasty children’s buffet, and the option to add an animal meet and greet for an extra special surprise.

Our party room is decorated with beautiful hand-painted animal murals, making it a lovely space for children to eat, celebrate and enjoy their big day before heading out to explore the zoo.

Party packages are available on selected Saturdays and Sundays.

🐾 Fife Zoo’s Cubs Club presents The Big Toddle! 🐾

We’re very excited to be hosting a special Big Toddle event at Fife Zoo in support of Barnardo’s Big Toddle 2026.

On Thursday 25th June 2026, little explorers can take part in a fun half-mile walk around the zoo, enjoy safari-themed activities, and help raise money for a brilliant cause.

Each child taking part will receive:

🦁 Entry to The Big Toddle
🎨 A safari-themed activity pack
🧃 Juice and biscuits
🏅 A certificate

Tickets are £8 per child, and parents, teachers and carers go free.

Children are welcome to dress up as their favourite animal, come along as little explorers, or wear green to show their support for Barnardo’s.

Sponsor forms will be available to download from the website, and a JustGiving page will also be available for online donations.

Perfect for families, nurseries, early years groups and Cubs Club members.

For our small, family-run zoo, this is a massive moment and something we’re all incredibly proud of. The accreditation recognises high standards in animal welfare, conservation, education and zoo management, placing Fife Zoo among a leading network of zoos and aquariums across Europe.

Behind the scenes, there’s been a huge amount of hard work from our team every single day to care for our animals, continue improving the zoo and help connect people with wildlife and conservation.

From our endangered lemur species to the wild red squirrels living around the zoo, conservation is a huge part of what we do, and this recognition is a really special milestone for us.

A little bird with a big seasonal glow-up 🔥

Just before breeding season, male Madagascar fodies undergo a remarkable transformation, changing from their more subtle colours into a bright, fiery red-orange plumage.

It’s one of those brilliant little reminders that nature doesn’t do boring.

Meet one of the brightest little show-offs at Fife Zoo 🌈

The Lilac-breasted roller is easily one of the most colourful birds you’ll spot here, with its beautiful mix of lilac, turquoise, blue, green and warm chestnut tones.

They’re the kind of bird that makes you stop and look twice — and then probably take about 17 photos.

Our dwarf mongoose may be tiny, but they have huge personalities. Whether they’re darting about, keeping watch, foraging or piling together for a cosy snooze, they’re always worth stopping to watch.
